Preperation

Thorough preparation is crucial and will define the end result of any work carried out.

Preparation can include the following:

• Cracks and holes in walls and ceilings are opened and filled, then sanded back for a smooth finish.
• All wall to ceiling cracks are scraped back, sanded and filled with decorators caulk before painting. All plaster boarding ceiling cracks are repaired with joining tape and filled.
• All surfaces to be sanded before and between coats.
• Stains to be blocked with stain blocker prior to painting.
• Both interior and exterior woodwork is scraped back and holes and cracks are twice filled with durable part woodfiller, then sanded back for a smooth finish.

Interior Painting & Decorating

After completing the preparation I will then be ready to start painting. When painting a wall or ceiling I cut in the paint with a quality brush then hand roll the remaining areas.

Where necessary masking tape is used to protect surfaces and produce a clean, straight edge. Also, great care is taken to protect floors, furniture and other surfaces.

Exterior

Protecting your property from the elements is a tough and vital job, and one that requires the proper advice and materials. I offer a range of many different services to keep your home's exterior protected and looking at its best.

Woodwork

Exterior paint coatings can often flake or bubble making it look tired and unattractive. To bring your woodwork back to life, I completely strip all paint layers back to bare timber. Surfaces will be washed down then sanded with abrasive, until smooth and filled with either linseed putty or wood filler. I can then proceed with applying a base coat and top coats.

I can work with many types of woodwork including: windows, doors, gates, shutters and decking.
